Records Management

Maintains all Office records. The release of some records is allowed in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act. It also includes the maintenance of accident reports, offense reports, civil and criminal warrants and legal papers, as well as, local criminal records checks.

Crime Solvers

Crime Solvers is a joint program partnered between Southampton County and the City of Franklin utilized to disseminate information involving active criminal cases whereby the Sheriff’s Office requests information from the public to solve and prosecute such cases.

Emergency Communications Center

Receives all 9-1-1 calls for service for citizens and visitors to Southampton County who need assistance from the Sheriff’s Office, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Animal Control in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Public Information Officer

Southampton Sheriff’s Office recognizes the right and importance of citizens to be completely and accurately informed of all safety issues. The goal is to maintain a relationship with credible news media to keep the public informed of matters within the County within legal and investigatory limits.
